Ladies and gentlemen, we are extremely pleased to be able to announce our first gig at the Middle East, and not only just a gig, but a HEADLINING slot downstairs! This means that we need every friend we have, far and wide, to come to the Middle East Downstairs on Thursday August 25th for a night of rock n’ roll, and a family reunion of sorts where we can see all of our friends, and everyone can meet each other and share a great night celebrating life and all the awesome opportunities being alive affords us. The festivities will absolutely not stop at the end of the show, either, mind you! So please, help us blow away some promoters and pack this classic Boston (cambridge!) venue! Save the date!

Hello out there! We are psyched and excited for this upcoming weekend in Barre, MA. We are proud to announce that Camp Coldbrook will also serve as Mauce’s first album release of sorts, as we will be receiving a box of sixty of our albums hot off the press on Friday morning. We can’t wait to share! Our sets are on Friday at 6:30 and Saturday at 5:00. Tickets to Camp are $50, and include camping and the use of all facilities.
Beyond music there will be live art, delicious food, DJ’s playing by the pools complete with a pool side bar, a late night silent rave on Saturday night, a 9 hole golf course, a basketball court, indoor main stage in the auditorium, outdoor campground stage all day on Saturday.

After much hard work recording and designing the packaging, we have finally placed the final order and are expecting our CD’s back in less than two weeks! We are working on a date for an official release party but as soon as we have them in our hands, we will be ready to share with the world!! GREAT F’ing NEWS! Our friend Nick Malkasian has been working tirelessly to put on his own amazing event, and has taken leaps in bounds in upping the level of excellence “busfest” attendees will experience. Instead of traversing all the way out in the woods of Leicester, as cool as that campsite was, we will now be spending the 3rd June weekend at Camp Coldbrook, an established camping facility outside of Worcester. There is an auditorium to play in (400+ capacity), two bars, two swimming pools, a second stage for additional sets and open jamming outdoors. Plus 18 confirmed bands from around the area. Tickets will be $50 for the whole weekend, which is amazing considering 3 nights camping at the campsite would normally run you $105 just for the campsite alone. Think of it as getting paid $50 to camp out for a whole weekend with your friends and check out lots of killer music!! We will post more info here as we get details, but look forward to this amazing, completely non-commercial, home made event.
Other news on the Mauce front; we had an amazing show last Sunday night at the Wonderbar! We were only alotted a 40 minute set after NiT GriT from 12:30 to approx. 1:15 but you kept us there all the way until closing time, drinking in what we were pouring out! So thanks! We hope you enjoyed our set as much as we enjoyed playing it!

On the album front, we have gotten our first glimpse at the cover art and it’s looking sick!! We are currently checking out our options in terms of pressing and production. Real, actual CD’s should be in our hands in the very near future!

What an adventure. From day one, we have been tackling this album one step at a time. Now, 0nly minor adjustments are needed as we make our way to the finish line. It is quite fulfilling to listen to the final mixes of each song as we check them off the list. We will celebrate the completion of our recording throughout the weekend as we make our way back to the Dallas area before heading off to Boston this upcoming week.
A big thanks to Britton Beisenherz and Adam Jessup at Ramble Creek Studio for bringing enthusiasm, creativity, expertise, and positive energy every day of the recording. Also a huge thanks to our families for their love and support, to Evan Williams, Trey Campbell, Jenna Brooks, and Micah Morgan for letting us crash at their places in Austin, and to our friends for their eagerness and excitement… and for just being our friends.

We’re hanging in Austin, Texas at Ramble Creek Studio right now with engineers Britton Beisenherz(Studio Owner/Founder) and Adam Jessup. These guys are killing it! We’re only two days shy of completing the mixing process. We are definitely stoked we decided to come to down to Ramble Creek to record Up Front & The Backseat Love.
Originally we had anticipated cutting an album that would be more of a collection of songs than an ‘album experience’ as our heroes of Rock N’ Roll past created in their hay-day. However, in working at Ramble Creek with Britton and Adam we’ve found that a balance between hard work and screwin around having a good time has cultivated a product better than we’d imagined. We’ve put a lot of thoughtful consideration (while not overthinking) into parts and pieces to put together a work that we are all proud of. We’ve had a healthy amount of time in necessary creative struggle over decisions about the record and we’re happy to report we’ve made it out alive, intact and itching to get back to Boston and start partying and layin’ down some funky Rock N’ Roll with our friends!
We’re getting everything set in just right before we send the mix off to Colorado for mastering and, as we mentioned, the CD’s should be ready for listening by early March at the latest. Our Friend and talented artist Davey Klimpel is working hard on a sick cover for the album.

We are on day 3 out of 10 at Ramble Creek Studio in Austin, TX. The recordings so far are sounding amazing, we are working with some very excellent and knowledgeable staff, and we couldn’t be happier! We are looking forward to the next two weeks in Texas recording, playing, and having an awesome time!
Look forward to Up Front & The Back Seat Love coming out in late February/early March!
Hello all! We have much great news to share!
First off, we have found an incredible new drummer, Jordan Brooks, who has been an amazing asset in evolving and improving our music! We are looking forward to a future of extremely talented drumming, strictly professional professionalism, and trying everything once.
Secondly, we are extremely excited to announce our plans to record our first album entitled Up Front & The Back Seat Love! Recording will take place over Christmas break, December 27th through January 8th, at Ramble Creek Studio in Austin, TX. We are concentrating on our material, honing our craft, and are very eager to get down to Texas and make this all happen! A specific release date is still TBD, but look forward to the album going public in late winter/early spring, along with a host of gigs all over the place! We will be using this album to enter into as many summer music festivals as possible too!
